Bluefin marked a significant departure in both design and manufacturing techniques. Additive manufacturing, high-strength aluminum, and complex fluid simulation were all used to construct the fastest submarine we have built to date. Bluefin raced at both the 2018 European International Submarine Races and the 2019 International Submarine Races. Significant improvements were made on the controls systems during the 2018-2019 school year and resulted in Bluefin placing 4th at ISR. Mack "Reverse" Galante and Lauren Wich served as the pilots for Bluefin.
